The client, one of UK’s oldest building societies, was undertaking a major program of business change resulting in alteration to business processes and the business operating model. As such, cooperation between the business and IT was of paramount importance to ensure requirements were understood and fulfilled. The risk of IT not fulfilling the business needs was great and the complexity of the changes meant it was difficult to get the system changes right.
The client used a combination of internal IT delivery and 3rd party suppliers and selected AppLabs due to their extensive experience in delivering operational testing and consultancy. The most important part of the engagement was to ensure testing aligned more effectively with the business by establishing clear roles, responsibilities, quality gates, metrics and communications.
