Test Team Leaders

Test Team Leaders are required to join our expanding Consultancy team and to get involved in providing Testing expertise to our client’s projects at locations throughout the UK. The exact details of the role will vary according to the requirements of the each project and assignment.

Job Type – Permanent

Base Location – UK Wide – our Consultants work on a client’s projects throughout the UK, therefore the location of the work will vary and a willingness to travel, working away from home where necessary, is essential.

Roles & Responsibilities

The Test Team Leader’s primary responsibility is to lead their team, planning their work and ensuring that it is completed on time and within budget to a standard that meets or exceeds the Client’s expectations.


A key part of their role is to provide regular, accurate, and concise reports on their team’s progress, highlighting recent achievements, planned work, and risks and issues that might prevent the team from achieving its plans.


A Test Team Leader usually spends only part of their time leading their team, with their remaining time spent in a Senior Test Analyst or Test Analyst role as appropriate.

Essential Skills & Experience

Must have experience of:

  • Planning, allocating work and managing the effort of teams of 4+ Testers or Test Analysts, and reporting on the status of tasks assigned to the team and the team’s progress against plans
  • Leading, mentoring, and providing feedback to team members, ensuring that they are happy and well motivated
  • Maintaining an awareness of the skills and strengths of team members and using this knowledge to allocate tasks effectively
  • Communicating effectively both in writing and in meetings, workshops and face-to-face situations

Desirable Skills & Experience

Experience of working in within Financial Services, Banking or Insurance industry sectors is desirable.

Education & Qualification

Candidates will ideally be:

  • ISEB/ISTQB certified in Software Testing at Foundation level or above
  • Educated to degree level
