Systems Administrator/Project Manager

AppLabs is looking for a Systems Administrator with 3 plus years of experience in Quality Assurance who is familiar with a variety of quality assurance concepts, practices and procedures.

Job Type – Full Time

Base Location – Lindon, Utah

Roles & Responsibilities

  • The Systems Administrator should be familiar with either NT and/or LINUX environments.
  • He/she will be working independently and in a team environment.
  • The Systems Administrator is expected to perform a variety of tasks including those related to test scripting and execution, architecture, defect and progress reporting, in addition to communicating with customers as listed below.
  • He/she may also lead and direct other team members.
  • This individual should also have excellent interpersonal skills and patience and a desire to teach and learn.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Must have Windows, Linux or SUN operating systems experience and ability to set up and configure in these systems  
  • Should be able to write shell or other script to automate administrative activities within OS - Prefer ability to plan and implement a multi-subnet domain and understand various issues that can occur in these environments and troubleshoot them.
  • Strong Scripting Skills preferred with at least 3 of the following: Unix/Linux Shells, PERL, C++, Visual Basic, Java, Pascal, AutoIT, Tcl/Tk, Visual Test, Silk Test / Performer
  • Familiararity with routing and switching preferred
  • Experience with various networking / storage architectures helpful
  • Project Management experience helpful

Education & Qualification

Minimum 3 + years of experience
