We are seeing an increased demand from large businesses to create shared testing services as well as ‘independent testing’.

CSR Update

AppLabs Government Primary School

Education has been a major area of activity in CSR for AppLabs. The company has adopted a government school at B.R. Ambedkar Nagar, a small locality based in the up-scale Film Nagar area of Hyderabad, India. With over 150 students, the school was run in just one temporary shed. Looking at the lack of infrastructure at the school, ACT immediately initiated a dialogue with Sarva Shiksha Abhyan (SSA) department of the Government of India, to work on a public-private partnership to fund the construction of the school building. The construction work of the school is completed in about 450 square yards, comprising of the Ground and the First Floor with five classrooms and two staff rooms. As per the signed MOU with the SSA authorities, the school would be named as 'AppLabs Government Primary School'. The school will be inaugurated in the last week of May, 2009.

AppLabs at EuroSTAR 2009

AppLabs has once again been selected to present at the EuroSTAR 2009, Europe's most successful and widely acknowledged gathering of software testing professionals. Duncan Small, Senior Consultant at AppLabs will be speaking on Testing and Test Management titled as 'Collaboration not Competition'. The event is scheduled to take place in the month of November at Stockholm, Sweden.

Chairman of AppLabs speaks at NASSCOM Conference

Sashi Reddi, Founder and Chairman of AppLabs spoke on the panel entitled 'Effective Sales Strategies for SME's' at the NASSCOM EmergeOut Conclave held in Chennai, India on 29th of April '09.

The discussion was focused around crucial issues concerning Emerging Companies, such as survival strategies in an economically uncertain environment, managing growth, fostering leadership, garnering VC funding, attracting and retaining talent and building a strong value proposition within the outsourcing arena, effective sales campaigns, in the face of competition from larger players.

Most of these events arise from insecure web applications causing loss of assets and damage to the reputation of the stakeholders.
